Pop singer Pink tweeted Friday that she had tested positive for COVID-19 and said that she would donate a million dollars to coronavirus relief.

In her tweet, the singer, whose real name is Alecia More, revealed that she and her son were showing symptoms a few weeks ago, and that she later tested positive for the virus. Pink added that they were tested again most recently, and the results came back negative.

“Two weeks ago my three-year old son, Jameson, and I are were [sic] showing symptoms of COVID-19. Fortunately, our primary care physician had access to tests and I tested positive. My family was already sheltering at home and continued to do so for the last two weeks following the instruction of our doctor,” she wrote. “Just a few days ago we were re-tested and are now thankfully negative.”

She continued to call it a “travesty and failure of our government” that nests are not more widely available to people who could benefit from tests. She also wrote that more tests should be available because the virus affects so many people.

“People need to know that the illness affects the young and old, healthy and unhealthy, rich and poor, and we must make testing free and more widely accessible to protect our children, our families our friends and our communities,” she wrote.

The “Just Give Me a Reason” singer then went on to say that she would be donating to aid healthcare professionals who make huge sacrifices to try to aid people diagnosed with COVID-19, while noting her personal connection to one of the organizations she was donating to.

“In an effort to support the healthcare professionals who are battling on the frontlines every day, I am donating $500,000 to the Temple University Hospital Emergency fund in Philadelphia in honor of my mother, Judy Moore, who worked there for 18 years in the Cardiomyopathy and Heart Transplant Center,” the singer wrote, while also saying that she would donate another half million dollars to the City of Los Angeles Mayor’s Emergency COVID-19 Crisis Fund.

She ended her message by thanking healthcare professionals and reiterated a now-all too familiar message: stay home.

Pink is not the only singer donating to coronavirus relief. In a video posted to his official Facebook page, iconic singer Elton John shared that the Elton John AIDS Foundation was donating a million dollars to coronavirus relief. “Our new COVID-19 emergency fund will help frontline partners to prepare for and respond to the pandemic and its effects on HIV prevention and care for the most marginalized communities,” he said. “We must keep up momentum or else the results could be disastrous for people living with HIV and other infectious diseases.”
