After a tweet from the American Idol brand account indicated that Katy’s new single, Katy Perry Debuts Daisies, would be deserving of being played multiple times, and Taylor wore a sweater decorated in sew adaptations of a specific bloom, fans started guessing that we may, at last, be getting a two-part harmony from the two stars. (They’ve made some amazing progress from discharging melodies that were reputed to burrow at the other: Who can overlook “Animosity” or “Wash, Swish”?)

Indeed, even Katy herself appeared to be down to fuel the doubts, or if nothing else she shielded herself from closing them down totally: “You’re simply going to need to check out Idol one week from now to see all bits of gossip, valid or bogus,” she told Extra during a gathering meeting with individual hosts Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan.
In any case, we don’t need to hold up until the show on Sunday to know this much: Despite fan theory, Taylor doesn’t seem to sing on the track, which dropped at 12 PM on May 15. Like “Thunder” and “Firecracker,” this is one for that playlist you go to when you need an increase in confidence. “Revealed to them your fantasies and they all began snickering,” the track starts. “I surmise you’re insane until it really occurs.”

Concerning the melody, it’s an ideal suggestion to remain your way and pay no psyche to individuals who question you: “They revealed to me I was out there/attempted to thump me down/took those sticks and stones/demonstrated them I can construct a house/They disclosed to me I was insane/But I’ll never let them change me/until they spread me in daisies.”
Katy combined the tune’s presentation with a pared-down music video including the pregnant star in nature. She investigates a cascade, feels the breeze on her skin, and delays in a field of blossoms. It’s another vibe for the regularly dramatic vocalist, whose new collection is expected August 14.
