The GameStop Vs Wall Street Movie rights are bought by MGM
Movie studio MGM has purchased the rights to an impending book about the GameStop saga.
A week ago, a group of novice financial specialists from the r/wallstreetbets Reddit group purchased an enormous number of offers in computer game retailer GameStop, making the organization’s offers increment 1700 percent in incentive since December.
The story will be investigated in The Antisocial Network, a book composed by the top of the line writer Ben Mezrich.
However, while the GameStop story is scarcely seven days old and Mezrich’s book hasn’t been composed at this point, Deadline reports that MGM obtained the rights to the book proposition on Friday (29 January).
It’s not the first run through Mezrich has worked with MGM executive Michael De Luca, who created Mark Zuckerberg biopic The Social Network, which depended on Mezrich’s 2009 book The Accidental Billionaires: The Founding Of Facebook, a Tale Of Sex, Money, Genius, and Betrayal.
The film will be created by Academy Award-chosen one Aaron Ryder, while Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss – both of whom were played by Armie Hammer in The Social Network – will leader produce.
